Vintage rug collectors from the Black Sea Region take these rugs and have them up-cycled. After shaving the top layer of this rug, it is placed in a solution and then set on the hills under the sun for months to dilute the color further. You’ll find a stack of these carpets laid out on the hills of Turkey during the summer time. Once they dry and reach the desired color, colorful wool is added making this a great center piece to be used as a carpet laid on the floor or as a hanging piece on your wall.
