Fayoum Pottery Wall Hanging

A ceramic wall hanging made by potters from the Fayoum school, based in the village of Tunis in rural Egypt. The Fayoum pottery tradition was established in the 1980s when a pottery school was founded in the village, reviving and formalising local techniques around working with mud and clay. Today the village is known throughout Egypt for its distinctive ceramics.

This wall hanging is made by hand using traditional methods. Diameter 45 cm.
